Ride XL is based on the bike Eddie Merckx used for the ‘ Hour Record’ in 1972, Mexico City. “Ride as much or as little, or as long or as short as you feel. But ride.”Jollygoodfellow liked this quote from Mr.Merckx so much they decided to call the set of prints, ‘ Ride’ . They are handprinted with Swedish grace and Finnish sisu. Titled and signed with pencil (L.E.TANTTU). Limited and numbered edited of 750. Sold unframed and rolled in a postal tube.
- Dimensions: 70xm x 100cm each (2 prints side by side)
- Materials: Munken Pure 300g
Sold unframed and rolled in a postal tube
How to flatten your print before framing or hanging: Carefully remove the print from the cardboard tube and unfurl. Lay it on a clean flat surface and weight down each corner with non-marking items such as bags of flour. Alternatively, use the tissue paper that the print was wrapped in to protect the corners of your print from any other heavy items that you might use. After about 4 hours, or overnight the paper fibres should have settled flat, and you’re ready to go! (Never try to speed up the process by ironing your prints, this could cause the paper to wrinkle, and the inks to run.)
Koti & Co’s thoughts
“If this was any old track bike, I think I would still love this set of prints. But the fact that Ride XL is based on the bike that Eddie Merckx used for his Hour Record just made me love it even more. Please take note of the size of the print, and that it is a set of two. The paper type and quality is great, if you’ re not familiar with this kind of paper, it feels about as thick as a standard business card.” Kat
